Five (5) Year Michigan Term Life Insurance Quotes

With Michigan, many consumers never look at the options of just a five year term life insurance quote.  If your in the market for term life insurance, many are pushed into a thirty year term life insurance plan.

So as we back up, lets remember what term life insurance is.  It is a life insurance program that covers you within a term that you pick.  Here in Michigan we offer 5yrs, 10 yrs, 15yrs, 20yrs, and 30yrs plans.

We offer five year term life plans due to a couple of specific reasons.  One, it is the most affordable for clients within our state of Michigan.  Second and most important to us, some (not all) are looking for temporary coverage.  If you can get five years for a cheaper price than a thirty year plan, why not take it if you again only need temporary coverage?

At our agency, we work with over 100 different life insurance companies.  The perk to that?  We offer the most affordable term rates within the state.  Contact us to learn more.

Also a note, today is the final day for the Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment.  Make sure to pick up your Michigan health insurance plan today.

Affordable Care Act For Michigan Is Closing!

The Affordable Care Act for 2015 is slowly closing here.  Open enrollment for the state of Michigan closes on February 15, 15'.  Anyone looking for a "compliant" major medical plan should contact us as soon possible

Couple of things to make clear.  While open enrollment ends on 2/15/15, you can buy health insurance plans past that date.  However these plans after Feb. 15 are non compliant, so you will still pay the fine for the year of 2015.

If you decide to go without coverage for this year, be aware of the fee's of going without coverage. This includes,

The fee in 2015

If you don’t have coverage in 2015, you’ll pay the higher of these two amounts:
  • 2% of your yearly household income. (Only the amount of income above the tax filing threshold, about $10,000 for an individual, is used to calculate the penalty.) The maximum penalty is the national average premium for a bronze plan.
  • $325 per person for the year ($162.50 per child under 18). The maximum penalty per family using this method is $975.
